Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our client who is a well-established Paint and Powder Coating business located in Garett’s Green, Birmingham.
As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal surfaces to enhance their appearance and durability.
Job Duties:
* Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, masking, and sanding as necessary
* Apply powder coating using spray guns or automated equipment
* Ensure even coverage and proper thickness of powder coating
* Monitor and adjust coating process to meet quality standards
* Clean and maintain equipment and work area
* Inspect finished products for quality control
Required Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Powder Coater
* Ability to interpret work orders and follow instructions
* Knowledge of different types of powder coatings and application techniques
* Strong attention to detail and quality control
* Good physical condition to withstand standing and repetitive movements
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in powder coating within a manufacturing or production setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of powder coating processes and equipment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent hand-eye coordination
* Basic maths skills for measuring and mixing coatings
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional certifications in powder coating
* Experience with different types of metal surfaces
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
Working Conditions:
The role of a Powder Coater involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various chemicals and powders. It requires standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 5pm and Fridays 8am – 12 Mid-day.
