Job Description

Due to positive growth, a fantastic opportunity is available for a self-motivated Sales Executive with a proven sales background to join a family run business located in West Bromwich.

Our client is a leading independent non-ferrous metal stockist who are very well established within the industry.

As an Sales Executive you will be joining the sales and customer service department to assist with the continued growth and client retention. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients along with the ability to spot new business opportunities and closing deals.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Sales Manager’s by raising quotes, booking appointments, arranging samples, credit application requests.
Involvement in any company sales shows.
Cold calling potential new customers and identifying new business opportunities.
Cross and Up Selling of products.
Monthly retention calls prioritizing zero spend accounts and customers with significant drop off.
Updating the in house CRM following all call activity with particular attention to customer data capture log.
Run regular competitor or product-based sales & market research with the Area Sales managers and pro-actively suggesting follow up promotions.
Processing orders when admin dept gets busy or to cover holidays.
Management and maintenance of customer accounts.
Being able to manage your accounts and drive growth across your area.

Previous experience within the metals industry would be an advantage

High level of customer service skills demonstrating a positive, friendly and professional attitude at all times
Product knowledge

Proficient using Microsoft packages – Word, Excel and Outlook
Sharp and alert to spotting sales opportunities and be able to quickly close deals with customers.

Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday – 8:30am to 5:30pm
Friday – 8:00 to 4:30pm

Must be flexible to suit business requirements.

Salary: £28k – £35k Dependant on experience + up to 20% bonus
